White Rock: Frances Skipper Rogers, 85, died Tuesday, April 6, 2004, at The Lowman Home. Mrs. Rogers was born at Ailey in Montgomery Co., Ga. on May 31, 1918, a daughter of the late William C. Skipper and Mary Agnes Player Skipper. She was the widow of Lonnie Pergeous Rogers. Mrs. Rogers lived in Andrews for many years, where she was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Administrative Board for many years and served as Chairperson of the Evangelism and Mission Committees. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid, the Daisy Watson Church School Class, and the Forever Young Group. Mrs. Rogers was a charter member of the Woman's Society of Christian Service, which later became the United Methodist Women, and served as President for several years. Survivors include: a son, Leonard Pergeous Rogers and his wife Sandra of Florence; three daughters, Vera LaVerne Rogers Lancaster and her husband Snell of Jacksonville, Fla., Hilda Francine Rogers Meetze and her husband Grayson of Lexington, and Betty Jo Rogers Rice of Murrells Inlet; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, William Skipper of Savannah, Ga.; four nephews, Bob Warren of Norwood, Ga. and Robert, Allen, and Frank Fowler; and two nieces, Ann Glendening of Savannah, Ga. and Nancy Smith of Jemison, Ala. Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by two sisters, Sara Warren and Mary Fowler. Funeral services will be two o'clock Thursday afternoon, April 8, 2004, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Steven M. Todd. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from one until two Thursday, April 8, 2004, at the Family Center of Trinity United Methodist Church. Memorial may be made to: The Lowman Home, P.
