Pawleys Island:
Frances "Joyce" Tolan, 82, died Monday, September 10, 2007, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mrs. Tolan was born on December 2, 1924 in Albion, Michigan, the daughter of the late Ray Jesse Bricker and Frances Harrod Bricker.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Williamson and Debi Kubale of Pawleys Island; a sister, Janet Beilfuss of Albion, Mich.; three grandsons, Erik (Jennifer) Williamson of Portage, Mich., Matthew (Michelle) Williamson of Battle Creek, Mich., and Ryan Kubale of Pawleys Island; a great-grandson, Kyle Williamson of Battle Creek, Mich.; and several nephews and nieces. She also left behind her two beloved Yorkies, Buttons and Chloe.
On July 11, 1947, she married Paul F. "Jack" Tolan, who died November 9, 2002.
Mrs. Tolan was predeceased by: a brother, Ray Keith Bricker; and three sisters, Edna Bricker, Ann Collin, and Carol Wallace.
Joyce and her loving husband of 56 years had two businesses that they ran together: Tolan Oil Company and J & J Antiques. They also promoted antiques shows in Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Joyce owned an Antiques Shop, J & J Antiques, in Murrells Inlet until her death.
Joyce started a Red Hat Chapter in Pawleys Island, "The Rose Red Hatters of Pawleys", and hosted many social events for the Grand Strand Red Hat members.

Memorial services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, September 15, 2007 at Access Pawleys in Litchfield. The Pastor Tim Surratt will officiate.
