Georgetown:
Frances Louise Ward, 82, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her residence.
Miss Ward was born in Georgetown on June 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Henry Hapgood Ward and Julia Effie Wilson Ward. She lived in Georgetown all of her life and was a graduate of Winyah High School. Miss Ward was a former school crossing guard for the Georgetown City Police Dept. She was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and was dedicated to all of her nieces and nephews.
Surviving are: six nephews, Robert V. Hendriks (Shirley) of Durham, NC, R. Howard Ward (Frances) of Pawleys Island, David A. Hendriks (Terry) of St. Petersburg, Fl., William J. Hendriks (Janet) and John Michael Hendriks (Gail) all of Georgetown, and H. Prentiss Ward, Jr. (Patricia) of Spring Hill, FL.; three nieces, Sarah Dingle Ward (Roger), Judy E. Myers (Tommy) and Johnnie W. Bonnoitt all of Pawleys Island.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon, April 22, 2012, at two o'clock at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. G. Edward Usher.
