McClellanville: Frank D. Hutchinson, 80, died Thursday, January 19, 2017, at Hospice Center of Hospice of Charleston in Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Hutchinson was born in Scranton on August 11, 1936, a son of the late Lexie Hutchinson and Estelle McKnight Hutchinson. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and Wofford College and an Army Veteran. Mr. Hutchinson retired from Unisom Insurance Company and then worked for Seibels Bruce Group Inc. as a senior Vice President of Insurance Operations. He was a member of New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. Surviving are: his wife, Brenda Thomas Hutchinson of McClellanville; two sons, Jim Hutchinson and Mark Hutchinson (Melody) both of Charleston; two daughters, Beth Clifton (Gordon) of Charleston and Meredith Seagrave of N. C.; two brothers, William A. Hutchinson of Florence and Randolph Hutchinson of Scranton; a sister, Alice Matthews of Scranton; seven grandchildren; and special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, January 21, 2017, at three o'clock in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Steve Souther. Burial will follow in Five Fathom Baptist Church Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday at the Church from two until three.
