Obituary

McBee: Gail Holley Welty, 56, died Friday, September 9, 2005, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville. Mrs. Welty was born in Andrews on May 23, 1949, the daughter of the late Lee Webster Holley and Pearl Burgess Holley. She grew up in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School and Coker College. Mrs. Welty lived in Sunset Beach, N. C. for seventeen years prior to moving to McBee. Surviving are: her husband, Alan Welty of McBee; a son, Christopher Boone and his wife Elizabeth of Fredericksburg, Va.; a brother, Rev. Richard "Rick" H. Holley of Shallotte, N. C.; and her birth mother, Vera Martin of Pageland. Funeral services will be two o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be her brother, Rev. Richard H. Holley. Burial will follow in Sampit United Methodist Cemetery in Georgetown Co. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
