Andrews:
Gaynell Howard Cumbie, 93, widow of Clemon Cumbie died Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at her residence.
Mrs. Cumbie was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Georgetown Co. on January 18, 1922, a daughter of the late Peter Eli Howard and Essie Cribb Howard. She was a member of Andrews Church of God and the Ladies Ministries of the church and a former Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Cumbie worked at the Family Dollar in Andrews for several years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, and reading. Mrs. Cumbie was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Cumbie was predeceased by: her husband, a son, Delbert Cumbie; three infant babies; four brothers, Lonnie, Charlie, Quinton, and Perry Howard; two sisters, Sudie Mae Morris and Ann Cottingham; and two daughters-in-law, Cathy and Nancy Cumbie.
Surviving are: six sons, Clemon Cumbie, Jr. (Linda) of Lavista, Neb., Carlton Cumbie of Georgetown, Clinton Cumbie of Rock Hill, Michael Cumbie of West Palm Beach, Fla., Lonnie Cumbie (Linda) of Andrews, and Milton Cumbie (Terry) of Philadelphia, Miss.; three daughters, Yvonne Graham (Jeffrey) of Andrews, Cheryl Johnson (Mickie) of Hemingway, and Lesa Nisiewicz (Bruce) of Beverly Hills, Fla.; three sisters, Emily Tanner of Georgetown, and Mary Alford (John Henry) and Violet Strong, both of Andrews; a sister-in-law, Alberta Howard of Andrews; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two greatgrandchildren; a great-greatgrandchild.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, October 31, 2015, a Holy Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
