Houston, Tex: Geneva Margarette Farris Williams, 87, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2003. She was preceded in death by: her father, Dr. Hugh A. Farris; mother, Emma Birdie Richardson Farris; husband, Herman C. Williams, Sr.; and five brothers, Bethel, Charlie, Amos, Albert, and Chester. She is survived by: her children, Herman C. Williams, Jr. of Charleston and Nancy Lastik, wife of Barry Lastik, of Houston, Tex; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be three o'clock Saturday afternoon, October 4, 2003, at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Tommy E. Barnhill. The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home prior to the funeral service from one o'clock until two-thirty.
