Myrtle Beach: Gerald Walter Altman, 77, husband of Trista Dorey Altman, died Wednesday, May 19, 2020, in Tidelands Waccamaw Community Hospital, in Murrells Inlet. Mr. Altman was born September 17, 1942, in Georgetown, a son of the late Bethel Altman and Oliva Jane Anderson Bullard. He grew up in the Choppee/Rosehill Community of Georgetown County and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. Mr. Altman was an electrician and a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He lived in Murrells Inlet for many years prior to retiring to Myrtle Beach. In addition to his parents, Mr. Altman was predeceased by: a brother, Robert L. Altman. Surviving are: his wife of Myrtle Beach; three brothers, Bethel Spencer. Altman (Unita) of Aynor, James S. Altman (Brenda) of Connecticut, Willie T. Bullard, Jr. (Suzie) of Little River; two sisters, Sandra Wilkins of Moncks Corner and Francis (Fran) McCoy (Terry) of Summerville. Memorial Services will be one o'clock Saturday afternoon, May 23, 2020, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Keith Wall.
