Pawley's Island:
Gerald Robert Kinross, 79, died Monday, January 5, 2004 at Waccamaw Community Hospital at Murrells Inlet.
Mr. Kinross was born November 9, 1924, a son of the late Robert Menzies Kinross, Jr. and Mildred Teresa Fitzgerald Kinross. He grew up in Pennsylvania and New York and graduated from Clarkson College of Technology in Potsdam, N. Y. Mr. Kinross served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a bombardier and navigator. During his career with General Motors, he worked in Melbourne, Australia; Stockholm, Sweden; New York City, N. Y; and retired in Detroit, Mich. Mr. Kinross moved to Pawley's Island in 1969 and was an avid golfer. He was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church and was the widower of Virginia Powers Fisher Kinross.
Surviving are: two daughters, Kathi K. Pond of Atlanta, Ga. and Candy K. Gallup of Pawley's Island; two sons, Bob Kinross of Geneva, Ill. and Bill Kinross of Algonquin, Ill.; two sisters, Joyce Hyland of Foxboro, Mass. and Kay Mulhare of River Edge, N. J.; and thirteen grandchildren.
The Funeral Mass will be private.
