Georgetown:
Geraldine Grainger Barnhill, 73, died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown.
Mrs. Barnhill was born in Conway on July 9, 1935, a daughter of the late Harvey Pink Grainger and Marian Cadie Graham Grainger. She was formerly of Columbia, where she was a member of Alpine Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnhill retired from Wal-Mart in Pontiac in 2005.
Surviving are: her husband, Dock Barnhill, Jr. of Columbia; a daughter, Cookie Jacobs and her husband James Jacobs of Georgetown; four sons, Johnny Barnhill and his wife Ginger of Rock Hill, Timothy Barnhill and his wife Natalie, Ricky Barnhill and his wife Christy, and Mark Barnhill, all of Columbia; a step-daughter, Linda Harper and her husband David of Georgetown; a sister, Bobbie Rabon of Conway; a brother, Harvey J. Grainger of Conway; a foster brother, Pete Collins of Conway; thirteen grandchildren, Scott Harper, Misty Casselman, Jimmy Jacobs and Justin Harper, all of Georgetown, Holly Barnhill of Rock Hill, Ashley Barnhill, Hannah Barnhill, Emily Barnhill, Bradley Barnhill, Nick Martin, Caroline Martin, Cassie Barnhill, and Brett Barnhill, all of Columbia; six great-grandchildren, Lee Jacobs, Brook Jacobs, Tristan Casselman, Savannah Casselman, Isaac Casselman, and Bryson Harper, all of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be two o'clock Friday afternoon, July 18, 2008, at Alpine Baptist Church in Columbia. Officiating will be the Rev. Rick Kirchinger. Burial will follow in the Alpine Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will welcome visitors at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home, Thursday evening, July 17, 2008 from six until eight and in the sanctuary of Alpine Baptist Church prior to the service on Friday from one until two.
