Georgetown:
Geraldine "Geri" Parton Lammonds, 73, died Monday, November 8, 2010, at Tidelands Community Hospice.
Mrs. Lammonds was born in Rutherfordton, N.C. on November 30, 1936, a daughter of the late Verno Washington Parton and Mary Jane Rainwater Parton. She grew up in Rutherfordton, where she graduated from R.S. Central High School and attended Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church. Mrs. Lammonds was a Deputy Clerk of Court for Greenville County for a number of years before moving to Georgetown twelve years ago.
Surviving are: her husband, Joseph Milton Lammonds of Georgetown; two sons, Phillip Lammonds (Rebecca) of Pawleys Island and John Lammonds (Shannon) of Georgetown; a daughter, Jane Lambert (Nettles) of Georgetown; five grandchildren, Cooper, Martha Grace, Jack, McKenzie and Maddie; and seven brothers and sisters.
Memorial services will be on Thursday afternoon, November 11, 2010, at two o'clock at Shingle Hollow Congregational Holiness Church in Rutherfordton. Officiating will be the Rev. Charlie Rigdon.
The family will receive friends at the Church prior to the service from one until two o'clock.
