Pawleys Island:
Gertrude Oyler Cribb, 90, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrell Inlet.
Mrs. Cribb was born in Richwood, W. Va. on April 6, 1917, a daughter of the late Gerald Shawver and Melinda Groves Shawver. She grew up in W. Va. and moved to Georgetown in 1937, where she lived for a number of years prior to moving to Pawleys Island. Mrs. Cribb retired as manager of the Gator Drive In restaurant in Georgetown and was a Presbyterian. She was the widow of Roy Oyler and Clifford Lee Cribb.
Surviving are: a son, David Oyler (Judd) of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Pam Oyler Taylor (Wayne) and Charlotte Oyler Player (Cotton), both of Pawleys Island, and Charlene Oyler Freeman (Gerald) of Georgetown; a step-son, C. L. Cribb (Peggy) of Pawleys Island; a brother, George Shawver (Guynelle) East Bank, W. Va.; eleven grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Monday morning, May 21, 2007 at the graveside in Elmwood Cemetery Annex. Officiating will be the Rev. R. Wayne Ellis.
