Georgetown:
Glen Edward Elliott, 63, died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at his residence.
Mr. Elliott was born in Andrews on October 7, 1950, a son of the late Doddie "D.W." Wasdon Elliott and Pauline Harriett Howard Elliott. He grew up in Charleston and served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Elliott later moved to Georgetown, where he was the owner of Elliott Construction. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, story teller, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Surviving are: his wife, Kathy Cooper Elliott of Georgetown; three daughters, Tonja E. Willey (Ralph) of Walterboro, Sissy E. Cooper (Ralph) of Goose Creek, and Crystal J. Goff (Charlie) of Gable; two sons, Travis G. Elliott of Moncks Corner and Woody G. Johnson (Leslie) of Andrews; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five brothers, Paul Howard, Alvin Elliott, Wayne Elliott, Dooley Elliott, and Ricky Elliott; and three sisters, Marilyn Roy, Patricia Moorefield, and Teresa Smith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott was predeceased by a brother, Michael Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock on Wednesday morning, February 5, 2014, at Sampit United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. John Williams, Jr. and the Rev. James Petty. Burial will follow at Sampit United Methodist Cemetery.
