Pawleys Island:
Gloria Sheehan Macaione, 85, widow of Sam R. Macaione, died Tuesday, March 29, 2010, at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown.
Mrs. Macaione was born in Winchester, Mass. on October 14, 1925, a daughter of the late George David Sheehan and Florence Louise Martin Sheehan. She was a founder and director of the Roper Advantage Program for Roper Hospital in Charleston. Mrs. Macaione served as a volunteer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and was chairperson of the Activities Committee at the Lakes at Litchfield. She was a communicant of All Saints Church.
Surviving are: two sons, David Macaione of Washington, D. C. and Philip Macaione of Manning; a daughter, Kim Witkowski of Baltimore, Md.; four grandchildren; Zoe Witkowski of Baltimore, Md., Andrew Macaione of Gilmanton, New Hampshire; Melissa Macaione Pirrotta of Marlborough, Mass., and Kelley Macaione of Manning; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be two-thirty o'clock, Sunday, April 3, 2011, at All Saints Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Rob Grafe.
