Pawley's Island: Gordon Leath Miller, III, 56, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown. Mr. Miller was born in Kingstree on September 22, 1947, a son of Mercelene Thomas Miller and the late Gordon Leath Miller, Jr. He was a retired employee of the Georgetown County Sheriff's Dept. Mr. Miller was a Master Mason and member of Pawley's Island Lodge #409, Ancient FreeMasons. He was also a Shriner and member of Omar Shrine Temple in Charleston and Omar Trucking Co. Mr. Miller was a communicant of All Saints Church, Waccamaw. Surviving are: his wife, Denise "Denny" Jervey Miller of Pawley's Island; a son, Gordon Leath Miller, IV of Pawley's Island; his mother of Pawley's Island; two sisters, Mercelene "Petti" M. Lighthart of Folly Beach and Mary M. Hydrick of Waynesville, N. C.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be three o'clock Saturday afternoon, February 21, 2004, at the graveside in All Saints Church, Waccamaw, Churchyard. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank S.
