Georgetown:
Gregory Dupree Elliott, 60, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at his residence.
Mr. Elliott was born in Mullins on August 30, 1952, a son of the late Eddie Dupree Elliott and Eunice Mae Hodges Elliott. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club at International Paper Company, where he worked for 40 years. Mr. Elliott was an avid supporter of Georgetown High School athletics and a long-time member of the Georgetown Bulldog Booster Club. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are: two sisters, Terri Dennis Felder (Shawn Gray) of Hemingway and Delores Howard (Sidney) of Andrews; a good friend, Gail Heyward of Sumter; four nieces, Sheila Felder of Gresham, Grace Felder of Hemingway, Melinda H. Stewart of Cottontown, Tenn., and Angela H. Gladden of Andrews; a nephew, Jacob Felder of Hemingway; a step-niece, Taylor Gray of Georgetown; and step-nephew, Ashton Gray of Andrews; a great-niece, Cheryl Stewart of Cottontown, Tenn.; two great-nephews, Carter Gladden of Andrews and Russell Stewart of Cottontown, Tenn.; an uncle, Jimmy Hodges; and four aunts, Ruth Proctor, Sue Filyaw, Virginia Hammond, and Irene Johnson.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2013, at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from six until eight o'clock. Memorial services will be private.
