Andrews:
Harold Thomas Bath, 84, died Friday, September 10, 2004, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Bath was born in Andrews on May 11, 1920, a son of the late Daniel Murrell Bath, Sr. and Bessie Prevatte Bath. He was a graduate of Andrews High School and Columbia Barber College. Mr. Bath served overseas in the Navy in World War II. He worked at his business, Andrews Barber Shop, until ill health forced his retirement. Mr. Bath was a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews and was active in the church Sunday School. He was also a member of Harpers Lodge #225, Ancient Free Masons.
Surviving are: his wife, Gladys Blakeley Bath of Andrews; two daughters, Mary Frances Sowell of Andrews and Gloria B. Westbrook of Georgetown; three sons, Harold Thomas Bath, Jr. and Mark M. Bath, both of Andrews, and John Daniel Bath of Chelsea, Ala., two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Thompson of Charleston and Mrs. Ervin England of Longwood, Fla.
He was predeceased by three brothers, D. M. Bath, Jr., James L. Bath, and Clifford Bass.
Funeral services will be Sunday afternoon, September 12, 2004, at two o'clock in First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be The Rev. Donald P. Sapp, The Rev. Murray W. Powell, and The Rev. Dr. Steven M. Todd. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The Family will receive friends at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Saturday evening, September 11, 2004, from seven until nine.
