Garden City Beach: Harold Clarence "Old Man" Hughes, 61, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Hughes was born in Georgetown on April 12, 1943 a son of the late John Hughes and Eda Bell Thomas Hughes. He grew up in Georgetown Co. and worked at Oneita Industries for a time and retired from Four Seasons in 1997. Surviving are: three sons, John Hughes of Andrews, Harold Hughes, Jr. and Kevin Hughes, both of Georgetown; a daughter, Becky Lambert of Georgetown; a brother, Robert Hughes of Garden City Beach; and five grandchildren. Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Friday morning, April 1, 2005, in Happy Home Original Free Will Baptist Church in Andrews. Burial will follow in Ivey Cemetery in Andrews.
