Pawleys Island:

Harry Robert Stullenbarger, 86, of Pawleys Island, SC, passed away on June 24, 2023, at NHC in Garden City, SC. Harry was born in Keyser, West Virginia on December 07, 1936. He was the son of the late Hernon and Ollie Stullenbarger.

Harry earned his degrees from Wofford College and Emory-Candler School of Theology. He was a retired United Methodist minister who served for over 50 years. Harry served as Trustee of the Methodist Oaks; Chairman of the Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry; Trustee and Chair of the United Methodist Center; Trustee of Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry as well as many other Boards.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Dixie Fogle Stullenbarger, two daughters; Laura (Rudy) Powell and Claire (Russell) Robinson, granddaughters; Maddie Powell, Alexis and Erin Robinson, grandsons; Parker and Tanner Powell, sister; Anne Dennis, brothers; Kent and Bobby Stullenbarger. Harry was predeceased by brothers Lawrence and Donald Stullenbarger.

A memorial service will be Friday 11:00 am at Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be an hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spartanburg Methodist College, 1000 Powell Mill Rd, Spartanburg, SC 29301-5899 or Aldersgate Special Needs Ministry, PO Box 5781 Columbia, SC 29250.
