Andrews: Helen Gertrude Mercer Belcher, 77, widow of Henry Williams and Larry Belcher, died Sunday, August 9, 2020, at her residence. Mrs. Belcher was born in Georgetown on September 17, 1942, a daughter of the late Dueward Belmont Mercer and Neelie Elizabeth Bone Mercer. She grew up in the Sampit section of Georgetown County and attended Andrews High School. Mrs. Belcher love to fish, cook and getting dressed up in her finest with her favorite jewelry. She had a very strong personality and had a great will to live. One of her greatest loves was her grands and when she knew they were coming to visit her day was complete. Mrs. Helen will surly be missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Belcher was predeceased by: a daughter, Rhonda Marie Rogers; a sister, Betty Lou Mercer Davis; and two brothers, Roger Mercer and Joe Mercer. Surviving are: a daughter, Bobbie Williams Moore (Dan) of Andrews, and a son, Alfred Wayne Belcher of Georgetown; four sisters, Wanda Sue Mercer of Conway; Patricia Howard (Tommy), Sharon Pierce and Janette Miller all of Georgetown; two brothers, William "Tumpy" Mercer (Mildred) and Dueward "Buddy" Mercer both of Georgetown; eight grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday, August12, 2020, in the Williams Family Cemetery, 229 Lyontree Lane, Andrews, SC.
