Georgetown:
Helen Boyd Davidson, 83, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at the Medical University of S. C. Hospital in Charleston.
Mrs. Davidson was born January 21, 1922 in Leesburg, Fla., a daughter of the late William Franklin Boyd and Maude Lillian Lee Boyd. She lived in central, Fla. prior to moving to Georgetown in 1941. Mrs. Davidson worked as a school crossing guard for ten years and retired from Wal-Mart in 1992. She was a member of Ringel Heights Baptist Church and of the church choir. Mrs. Davidson was the widow of Saint Elmo Davidson and Samuel Glennie Davidson.
Surviving are: three sons, James A. Davidson of Mooresville, N. C.; Everette E. Davidson of Georgetown, and V. Lane Davidson of Norfolk, Neb.; three daughters, Evelyn D. Cooper of Matthews, N. C., Brenda D. Deinarowicz of Mt. Pleasant, and Sandra D. Tindall of Georgetown; a brother, William Louis Boyd of Orlando, Fla.; ten grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, May 21, 2005, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick May. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
