Georgetown:
Henry Corbin Flanders, 86, died Monday, May 26, 2008 at his residence.
Mr. Flanders was born in Swainsboro, Ga. on July 7, 1921, a son of the late Willie M. Flanders and Georgie Smith Flanders. He grew up in Swainsboro and graduated from high school there. Mr. Flanders served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He lived in Charleston prior to moving to Georgetown. Mr. Flanders retired as the manager of the Colonial Stores, Inc. grocery store in Georgetown. He was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church and was a former member of the church Board of Trustees.
Surviving are: his wife, Ruth Platt Flanders of Georgetown; a daughter, Libby Flanders Chinnes and her husband Ronald of Mt. Pleasant; and a son Danny Flanders of Atlanta, Ga.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Wednesday morning, May 28, 2008, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Phillip C. Thrailkill. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from ten until eleven in the church parlor prior to the service Wednesday morning.
