McClellanville:
Henry Edward Hattaway, 90, died Thursday morning, October 28, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Hattaway was born in McClellanville on March 18, 1914, son of the late William Henry Hattaway and Catherine Lambert Hattaway. He lived in McClellanville all of his life. Mr. Hattaway was employed by the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Department in the maintenance department as a welder. He retired in1985. Mr. Hattaway was a member of St. James Lodge #275, Ancient Free Masons and McClellanville Baptist Church. He was first married to the late Elizabeth "Betty" Byrd Hattaway.
Surviving are: his wife, Janet Byrd Hattaway of McClellanville; two sons, Kenneth E. Hattaway of Mt. Pleasant and Errol H. Hattaway of McClellanville; a step-son, Trevor Byrd of Palatka, Fla.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon, October 30, 2004, at two o'clock in McClellanville Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ricky West and the Rev. Bill Archer. Burial will follow in McClellanville Baptist Church Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Friday evening, October 29, 2004, at 221 Charlotte Street in McClellanville from six until eight o'clock.
