Henry Berry Sowell, III, 83, husband of Mary Frances Bath Sowell died Monday, February 8, 2021, at Williamsburg Reginal Hospital in Kingstree.
Mr. Sowell was born in Pageland on September 15, 1937, a son of the late Henry Berry Sowell, Jr. and Pamela Adell Jenkins Sowell. Henry grew up in Pageland and graduated Pageland High School. Mr. Sowell graduated from Chowan College and went on to get a bachelor's degree from the University of South Carolina and remained a Gamecock fan until the end. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and served as an usher as well as on the Pastor of Parrish Relations committee. He was employed for many years as a supervisor with Oneita Knitting Mills until retirement. He later retired from Swinnies Supply Company in Andrews. Henry was an enthusiast when it came to model trains as well as his yard. He was known for keeping his yard manicured and taking care of the birds. His most recognizable quality was his personality and great smile. He will surely be missed, not only by his family, but so many friends in the Andrews Community.
