Andrews:
Henry Lee Swails, Jr., 72, died Thursday, April 28, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Swails was born in Georgetown Co. on October 1, 1932, a son of the late Henry Lee Swails and Bessie Goude Swails. He lived most of his life in the Andrews area and served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Swails retired in 1994 after twenty-eight years employment with Detyens Shipyard in Charleston. He was a member of Happy Home Original Free Will Baptist Church. He was a former Sunday School Teacher and Deacon of the church and was currently an Honorary Deacon. Mr. Swails was a good husband, father, brother, and a great "Pa".
Surviving are: his wife, Evelyn Alford Swails of Andrews; a son, Rod Swails and his wife Tammy of Andrews; a daughter, Jennifer S. Beasley of Andrews; two sisters, Juanita Howard and her husband Eddie of New Bern, N. C.; Delores Roberts and her husband, Glen of Hiram, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Allison Beasley, Lee Swails, and Amy Swails, all of Andrews.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Saturday morning, April 30, 2005, at Happy Home Original Free Will Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Ron Ogle, the Rev. John H. Alford, and the Rev. Andrew Gleason. Burial will follow in Bethel United Methodist Cemetery.
