Mr. Cromaartie was born in Conway on August 7, 1935, a son of the late Hollis Dale Cromartie, Sr. and Lillian Brockinton Skinner Cromartie. Dale was a member of Screven Baptist Church and owner of Dale Cromartie Insurance Co. He was an avid Clemson Fan and never missed watching a game, and was so proud to be a member of Clemson IPTAY. He was a lifelong boater and fisherman, and had a passion for smoking and grilling on his Rec-Tec grill. Mr. Cromartie earned his air plane pilots license at age fifty. Mr. Cromartie was a member of numerous clubs, the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Mason's, and the Lions Club. He was a former Board Member of the Georgetown Airport and the Quiet Birdmen (QB) flying Club. Anyone who knew Dale knew that he loved his family with all his heart.
