Garden City Beach:
Iceline Floyd Parsons, 95, died Monday, September 29, 2003, at Lakes at Litchfield.
Mrs. Parsons was born in Lake City on August 8, 1908, a daughter of the late Henry Norwood Floyd and Mattie Rebecca Allen Floyd. She lived most of her life in Andrews and was a member of First Baptist Church of Andrews. Mrs. Parsons was the widow of Maxie Olis Parsons.
Surviving are: a daughter, Shirley C. Taylor of Garden City Beach; a son, Robert H. Cox of Georgetown; three step-sons, Keith Parsons of Bonneau, Barbee Parsons, and Frankie Parsons of Hemingway; a step-daughter, Fiona Clary of Va.; two sisters, Eunice Hamby of Atlanta, Ga. and Margie Powell of Hemingway; thirteen grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Parsons was predeceased by: two sons, Charles V. Cox and Russell N. Cox; a brother, James C. Floyd; and a sister, Lillian F. Bevins.
Memorial services will be Thursday morning, October 2, 2003 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church at eleven o'clock. Officiating will be The Rev. Harold P. Lewis.
The family will receive friends at the Church from ten until eleven o'clock prior to the service.
