Georgetown: Irene Dail Spearman Lipscomb, 98, died June 16, 2011 at Tidelands Community Hospice House in Georgetown. Mrs. Lipscomb was born in Winterville, N. C. to the late Thomas Overton Dail and Nettie Heath Dail. She was predeceased by husbands James Edward Spearman and Ralph Frederick Lipscomb. Mrs. Lipscomb lived most of her life in Gaffney but had resided at Morningside Assisted Living in Georgetown for the past six years. She is survived by children Jean S. Dinwiddie (Dan) of Columbia, Mary S. Bryan (William A.) of Murrells Inlet and James E. Spearman, Jr. (Sharon) of Gaffney. She was blessed with grandchildren Dail B. Dinwiddie, Andrew M. Dinwiddie (Elle), William A. Bryan, Jr. (Amy), Catherine B. MacKelcan (Doug), J. Carson Bryan, James E. Spearman, III (Michelle) and Brooke Wilson (Bob). There are eight great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 20, 2011 at eleven o'clock at First Baptist Church of Georgetown. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at three o'clock in Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney.
