Andrews:
Irma Parsons Mears, 92, died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Mears was born in Williamsburg Co. on April 23, 1915, a daughter of the late Maxie Hartwell Parsons and Mildred Arthena McCants Parsons. She was a graduate of Andrews High School and Cecil's Business College in Asheville, N.C. Mrs. Mears was a cashier for the former Andrews Bank & Trust Co., where she worked for 29 years. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Mears was predeceased by: her husband, S. Lloyd Mears; three brothers, Olis Parsons, Weldon Parsons, and Woodrow Parsons; and three sisters, Waver Swails, Mae Young, and Euke Green.
Surviving are: two sisters, Mildred Parsons McMullen of Greenville and Maxine Parsons Phillips of Tullahoma, Ten.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock, Saturday morning, July 21, 2007, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Sandra Stevens Poirel and the Rev. Barbee O. Parsons. Burial will follow in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
