Trio:
Iva Long Lockliear, 82, widow of Cecil Rufus Lockliear, died Thursday, May 29, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Lockliear was born in Williamsburg Co. on August 9, 1931, a daughter of the late Kizzie Bell Long. She grew up in the Andrews area and attended Andrews High School. Mrs. Lockliear was a member of Trio United Methodist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Andrews for over 20 years. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Surviving are: six sons, Mark Lockliear (Jackie), Keith Lockliear (Patsy), Lynn Lockliear (Nancy), John Woody Lockliear (Donna), and Rufus Lockliear (Carolyn), all of Trio, and Thomas Lockliear (Althea) of Vox; three daughters, Melonie Richardson (Michael) of Andrews, Montie Lambert (Charlie) of Trio, and Cecilia Brown (Jeff) of Boone, N.C.; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Iris Matthews of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be held at three o'clock on Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Andrews. Officiating will be the Rev. Paul Sapp and the Rev. Gary Adams. Burial will follow at Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, May 31, 2014, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home from five until seven o'clock.
