Georgetown:
Jack Edward Redick 80, also known as Jr. Country, the widower of Priscilla Faye Tanner Redick passed away Friday, March 16, 2018.
He was born January 6, 1938, in Scranton SC. Jack is predeceased in death by: his parents, Robert Edward Redick and Myrtle Eleanor Lee Redick; a brother, Robert Edward Redick, Jr.; a sister, Diane Redick Hewitt Cox; a son, Richard Edward "Ricky" Redick; and two grandchildren, Sylvia Renee Floyd and Deborah Annette Weavil Stewart.
Jack graduated from Andrews High School in 1958. He was retired from International Paper Company (Box Plant Division). He was a Songwriter of versus kinds of music. He loved playing his guitar with his friends. He has performed around Georgetown with different bands. He also loved antique cars. He was a former member of the Winyah Cruisers Car Club for years in Georgetown. He was a member of BMI Publishing Company in Nashville, TN.
Surviving are: Jack's two daughters, Debra Faye Redick (Steve Harper) and Loretta Lynn Redick (Larry Lightsey); a grandchild, Priscilla Fay "Prissy" Harper; great grandchildren, David "Davy" Stewart, Shawn Stewart, Brandon Stewart and Dusty Phillips; and three brothers, James Redick (Brenda), Francis Redick (Donna) and David Redick all of Georgetown.
Graveside services and burial will be Sunday, March 18, 2018, at 2 pm at Sampit United Methodist Church in Sampit. The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 3-5 pm.
