Georgetown: Mellie Lucille Sessions Jacobs, 94, widow of Charlie Clifford Jacobs, died Sunday, August 9, 2020, at Tidelands Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Jacobs was born in Georgetown on April 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Daniel Andrew Sessions and Mennie Elizabeth Matthews Sessions. She grew up in the Pleasant Hill community and graduated Pleasant Hill High School. Mrs. Jacobs was a long time member of the Georgetown Church of God, and the Adult Bible Class. She was a proud member of the Golden Years Club at the church. Mrs. Jacobs loved to sew, crochet and most loved working in her garden. Mrs. Lucille lived a long happy and fruitful life, and will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Jacobs is predeceased by, two daughters, Doris J. Young and Frances J. Forbes. Surviving are; a daughter, Judy J. Johnson (Ronnie) of Georgetown; and a son, Larry C. Jacobs of Georgetown; a brother, Leroy Sessions; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
