Andrews: James Edwin "Jimmy" Barnes, 60, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at his residence after a long illness. Mr. Barnes was born in Georgetown on January 16, 1955, a son of the late Owen Louis Barnes and Catherine Shirley Ray Barnes. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and worked in construction as an electrician for forty years. Surviving are: a son, Allen Barnes of Andrews; five brothers, Michael, Gregg, Steve, and Kevin Barnes, all of Andrews and Stanley Barnes of Baltimore, Md.; a sister, Janet Barnes of Topsail, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Owen Barnes. Funeral services will be three o'clock Saturday afternoon, June 6, 2015, at Bethel United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel W. Chamblee. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
