Obituary

Pawleys Island: James Boatwright Jacobs of Pawleys Island died Tuesday afternoon, December 22, 2020, at Somerby of Mount Pleasant. Mr. Jacobs was born in Florence on April 5, 1933 a son of the late John Merriman Jacobs and Patricia Shaw Jacobs. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and The Elk Lodge. He worked at International Paper of Georgetown and retired after more than forty years. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his twin brother, William Michaux Jacobs. He is survived by: one brother, Charles "Doc" Jacobs of Anaheim, CA; his five children, James M. Jacobs of Pawleys Island, Patrick T. Jacobs (Laurie) of Georgetown, Cindy Harrelson (Gill Hinson) of Andrews, Faye Miller (Michael) of Georgetown, and Jimmy D. Jacobs of Georgetown; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. There will be no service at this time.
