Mt. Pleasant:
James C. Fulton, 64, died Tuesday, March 15, 2004, at East Cooper Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Fulton was born in Andrews on September 10, 1939, a son of Mary Elizabeth Barrineau Fulton and the late Albert Theodore Fulton. He grew up in Andrews and attended schools in Andrews and Georgetown. Mr. Fulton lived at Arcadia Plantation and Earles prior to moving to Mt. Pleasant forty years ago. He was employed with Detyens Shipyard until his retirement thirty years ago due to disability.
Surviving, in addition to his mother of Charleston, are: his wife, Geraldine M. Fulton of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Deborah Manucy and her husband Robert of Mt. Pleasant; four brothers, A. T. Fulton, Jr. of Columbia, Harry Fulton of Clinton Township, Michigan; and Thomas Fulton and Richard Fulton, both of Georgetown; three sisters, Gail McCutcheon of Lake City, and Annie Jones and Faye Fulton, both of Charleston; and one granddaughter, Samantha Manucy of Mt. Pleasant.
Funeral services will be on Thursday afternoon, March 18, 2004, at three o'clock at Earles Pentecostal Holiness Church near Andrews. Officiating will be The Rev. Ronald Dease and The Rev. Donald Fort. Burial will follow in the Churchyard.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, March 17, 2004, from six until eight o'clock at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home.
