Georgetown: James Elmore Cameron, 61, husband of the late Nancy Gail Burkett Cameron, died July 9, 2018, at his residence Mr. Cameron was born in Colorado Springs, CO, on October 30, 1956, a son of the late Julius Elmore Cameron, Jr. and Anne Skinner Cameron. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School. Mr. Cameron graduated with a BS in Marine Biology from the University of South Carolina. He was an employee of Cameron's Pharmacy for over twenty years and worked at Wal Mart for seven years. Mr. Cameron was a member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include: a son, Ian James Cameron of Georgetown; a brother, Timothy N. Cameron; a sister Tamela C. Gardner; and a number of nieces and nephews.
