Andrews: J. Muldrow Ethridge, 86, died Saturday, August 21, 2004 at The Methodist Oaks in Orangeburg. Mr. Ethridge was born in Andrews on June 5, 1918, a son of the late Robert John Ethridge and Sarah Ann Taylor Ethridge. He served in the Army during World War II and lived in Georgetown County near Andrews most of his life. Mr. Ethridge was an electrician and a retired employee of Oneita Industries. Surviving are: his wife, Lois Glisson Ethridge of Andrews; a sister, Thelma E. Ray of Andrews; and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Ethridge was predeceased by a daughter, Patsy Gail Ethridge. Funeral services will be two o'clock Tuesday afternoon, August 24, 2004, at the Andrews Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Murray W. Powell. Burial will follow in Piney Forest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday afternoon, August 24, 2004, prior to the service from one until two.
