Georgetown:
James E. Hadsell died Thursday, June 16, 2005, after a brief illness, at MUSC Hospital in Charleston.
Mr. Hadsell was born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio on November 17, 1924, to the late Orion and Helen Hadsell. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II in Africa and Italy. He graduated from Ohio University. Mr. Hadsell served for 16 years on the Bethel Park, Pa. Council.
Mr. Hadsell was a respected member of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church, the Francis Asbury Church School Class, and the Tuesday morning men's group. Mr. Hadsell was also a member of the Georgetown Lions Club and the Masonic Order in Ohio. He served in the Oriental Band of the Syria Shrine in Pittsburg and the Honors Band of the Zem Zem Shrine in Erie, Pa.
Mr. Hadsell was predeceased by a sister, Martha Marshall.
Surviving are: his loving wife, Dorothea "Dottie" Hadsell of Georgetown; three beloved daughters, Jeanette (Ralph) Meyer of Portage, Mich., Sydney (Ralph) Litzenburger and Heidi (Michael) Surunis, both of Bethel Park, Pa.; step-daughters, Sandra Beck of San Diego, Calif., Heather (George) Perinis of Mt. Lebanon, Pa., Tammy (Jim) Rosen of Butler, Pa., Jamie (Jim) Young of Wildwood Crest, N. J., and Kerry (Doug) Ott of Bethel Park, Pa.; a sister, Margaret Ray of St. Clairsville, Oh.; and grandfather (Pappy) of eleven grandchildren, Elizabeth, Heather, Jeffrey, Michael, Georgia, Manny, Beck, Lexi, Nicky, Andy, and Luke.
Memorial services will be held at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church at 11:00 am on Monday, June 20, 2005.
