Pawley's Island:
James Beryl "JB" Michael, Jr., 69, died Friday, May 27, 2005, at Georgetown Memorial Hospital in Georgetown.
Mr. Michael was born in Memphis, Tenn. on July 20, 1935, son of the late James Beryl Michael and Annie Lucille McCaleb Michael. He grew up in Memphis and graduated from Castle Heights Military School and Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. Michael retired as chief executive officer of Michael Construction Co. of Chattanooga, Tenn. He moved to Pawley's Island from Delray Beach, Fla. in 2002. Mr. Michael was a member of Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church.
Surviving are: his wife, Rebecca Ruppe Michael of Pawley's Island; two daughters, Madilyn Ann Michael of Pawley's Island and Elizabeth Tomlinson of Tenn.; two sons, Ryan Thomas Michael of Pawley's Island and Dan Michael and his wife Erin of Calif.; daughter-in-law, Tina Michael of Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters, Norma Wood of Austin, Tex. and Nancy Mokros of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren, James Beryl Michael, IV of Nashville, Tenn., Jennifer Tomlinson of Tenn., and Hannah Michael of Calif.
Mr. Michael was predeceased by a son, James Beryl Michael, III.
The Funeral Mass will be two o'clock Thursday afternoon, June 2, 2005, at Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Patrick J. Stenson.

There will be a reception in the Founder's Hall of Precious Blood Catholic Church immediately following the Funeral Mass.
