Georgetown: James Allen Moore, 66, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at MUSC Medical Center in Charleston. Mr. Moore was born in Kingstree on July 18, 1946, a son of the late Furman Harley Moore and Annie Lee McCutchen Moore. He grew up in Georgetown and graduated from Winyah High School and Palmer Business College. Mr. Moore served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He previously served on the City of Georgetown Board of Zoning Appeals. Mr. Moore was a former manager of G&G Wholesale and retired from Coastal Energy. His family includes: his wife Diane Price Moore of Georgetown; three sons, James Allen Moore II and his wife Jennifer Loadholt Moore of Savannah, Ga., Christopher Price Moore and his wife, Dr. Lindsay Harper Moore of Georgetown, and Hugh Jeffrey Moore of Statesboro, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Harper Elizabeth Moore, Christopher Price Moore II, and Ashby Eliza Moore. Graveside services will be held at two o'clock on Friday afternoon, March 15, 2013, at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford.
