Pawleys Island:
J. Grover Shuler, 69, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Mr. Shuler was born in Summerville on November 7, 1943, a son of the late James Glenn Shuler and Annie Laurie Sarvis Shuler. He grew up in Georgetown, attended Winyah High School, and graduated from Carlisle Military Academy. Mr. Shuler worked as a project manager in the construction industry for many years. After retirement, he established Shuler Property Management and worked part-time in a number of other businesses. Mr. Shuler was a member of Battery White Camp, Sons of the Confederate Veterans.
Surviving are: his wife, Robin Salmon Shuler of Pawleys Island; two sons, Jason P. Shuler of Myrtle Beach and Alex Salmon (Blair) of Columbia; two daughters, Mandy Shuler of N. Myrtle Beach and Dana Shuler of Myrtle Beach; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at two o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2013, at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Dora Gafford.
