Hemingway:
James "Jimmy" Elbert Teel, II, 61, died Friday, June 22, 2007 in an auto-motor scooter accident in Georgetown.
Mr. Teel was born in Georgetown on April 5, 1946, a son of the late James Elbert Teel and Dorothy "Dot" Owens Teel. He grew up in Georgetown and lived most of his life there, where he was a graduate of Winyah School. Mr. Teel served in the Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was an employee of International Paper Co and had worked there for a number of years. Mr. Teel was a member of St. Mary Our Lady Of Ransom Catholic Church.
Mr. Teel was also predeceased by: a brother, Joseph "Joey" Teel; and a niece, Meagan Teel.
Surviving are: his loving companion, Geri Lewis of Hemingway; four daughters and their mother, Carol (Rondie) Ward, Brigitte (Chris) Jayroe, and Monica "Nikki" (Shawn) Cannon, all of Georgetown, and Melanie (John) Casselman and Norma Teel, both of Pawley Island; two brothers, Patrick Teel and Tony (Janet) Teel, both of Georgetown; two sisters, Pamela Teel (Harry "Skinnie") Cameron of Andrews and Ferol Teel (Kenny) Matthews of Pawleys Island; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be eleven o'clock Tuesday morning, June 26, 2007, in St. Mary Our Lady Of Ransom Catholic Church in Georgetown. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald J. Farrell. Burial will follow in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens in Georgetown.
