Obituary

James Adger "Jimmy" Wilder III, 70, of Georgetown passed away October, 1st 2025 at his home. Jimmy

was born in Georgetown on October 11th 1954 during Hurricane Hazel. He was the first-born son to James A. (Jay)Wilder and Jean Orr Wilder and spent the entirety of his life residing in Georgetown.

As a young man, Jimmy enjoyed exploring the woods and waterways of his hometown. His love for the lowcountry life continued for as long as his health and age allowed. He made many fond memories and had stories galore of the time spent enjoying flounder gigging, shrimping and fishing, duck hunting and digging for bottles, always in search of the coveted SC Dispensary bottles and local treasures.

Jimmy graduated from Winyah High School in 1972 where he played football as tail back and 1st base in baseball. He worked several jobs in construction at both IP and Parker Steel Company. He owned and operated Wilder Construction Company for many years and took great pride in his work. Jimmy especially enjoyed the work he did in preparing and clearing many lots for the development of Debordieu and the Prince George communities.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, wife Belinda Marsh Wilder, son Trey Ryan Goins and his faithful companions, Henry, Junior and Joey.

He is survived by his brother, Wade Wilder (Nanette), his sister Marcey West, nephew Drew Sims (Jennifer), nieces Kady Powell (Bert) and Olivia Bass (Michael) his great nieces and nephews McKinlee Sims, Madison Sims, Mark Sims, Kylee Moore, Easton Moore, Hunter Bass and Emlee Bass and a special friend Carol Marsh.
