Obituary

Georgetown: James Leon Wilson, 80, died Monday, June 14, 2004, at NHC National Healthcare Center of Garden City. Mr. Wilson was born in the Oak Ridge Community of Williamsburg County on May 19, 1924, a son of the late Covington "Cub" Lee Wilson and Rosa Lee Lambert Wilson. He lived in Georgetown most of his life and was a graduate of Winyah High School. Mr. Wilson served in the Army during World War II and retired from International Paper Company after forty-one years. He was a member of the Big Kilsock Hunting Club. Surviving are: a brother, John Harvey Wilson of Georgetown; two sisters, Mary Edna W. Cook of Guttenberg, Iowa and Barbara W. Jones of Georgetown; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday morning, June 18, 2004, at ten o'clock in the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Ted A. Sherrell and the Rev. Clide E. Glover. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Memorial Cemetery near Andrews.
