Ormond Beach, Florida: Jamie L. Creel, 62, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 11, 2008 at his residence. Jamie was born in Florence County on October 28, 1945, a son of the late Jack and Mattie Creel of Georgetown. He was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army. Jamie was a loving son, brother, husband, and friend. He will be missed greatly by all! Jamie was also predeceased by: a brother, Carroll W. Creel. Surviving are: his wife, Cheryl Estabrooks Creel of Ormond Beach; two daughters, Annette Cox and Tasha Head, both of Florence; four grandchildren; four sisters, Jackie Wynn, Wilma McKenzie and Geneva Hancock all of Georgetown, and Eulah "Tina" Calhoun of Zachary, La.; seven nephews, Ricky Creel, John Hancock, Paul Hancock, Clark Creel, Tommy Wynn, Richie Calhoun, and Patrick McKenzie; four nieces, Crystal Franklin, Kim Calhoun, Gina Jordan, and Felicia Cash; and several great-nephews and great nieces. Funeral services will be three o'clock Friday, February 15, 2008 at Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Rick Powell.
