Georgetown:
Janette Stevenson Lawrimore, 85, died Monday, July 4, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Lawrimore was born in Georgetown on March 28, 1920, daughter of the late James White Stevenson, Sr. and Ruby Porter Stevenson. She lived most of her life in Georgetown and was a graduate of Winyah High School and Coker College. Mrs. Lawrimore was a retired school teacher and taught at Beck Middle School and Winyah Junior High School. She was a member of Georgetown Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Women and a past member of the Ribbon Club.
Mrs. Lawrimore was predeceased by: husbands Aubrey Holbrook Rion and Charles Wesley Lawrimore, Sr.; a son, Aubrey Holbrook Rion, Jr.; a brother, James White Stevenson, Jr.; and a sister, Julia Stevenson Carraway.
Surviving are: a son, Charles Wesley Lawrimore, Jr. of Georgetown; and a brother, William Samuel Stevenson, Sr. of Georgetown.
Funeral services will be eleven o'clock Thursday morning, July 7, 2005, at Georgetown Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. E. Thomas Miller. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery Annex.
