In Loving Memory of Jayne Elizabeth Moore
Jayne Elizabeth (Roberts) Moore was born in Berkeley County, SC on August 22, 1943, to the late Eunice L (Barnett) Roberts and Richard B. Roberts. She grew up in Russellville, SC and attended St. Stephen High School. She was the widow of Archie M. Moore of McClellanville, SC. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Thelma L. (Roberts) Flanagan of Pullman County Alabama and a brother Jack B. Roberts of Williamsburg County SC.
Jayne was a longtime resident of Georgetown, SC, and a devoted mother and wife whose love for her family guided every part of her life. She found joy in nature, cooking, animals, and baking, and especially cherished the music of the 1950s. Jayne loved to dance, laugh, and spend time with her family and friends. An avid gardener, she adored all flowers and houseplants—though roses were always her favorite. Her heart was open to every creature, and she never hesitated to take in any cat or dog in need of a home. Known as the neighborhood mom, she welcomed countless local children with warmth and care. A gifted cook and baker, she was especially proud of her famous cream cheese pound cake. Above all, Jayne devoted her life to providing for her children and the animals she loved so dearly.
Jayne is survived by her daughter Tinye, sons, Hoyt, Shayne (Jamie) Marty, and Samuel (Tamika); grandchildren Austin, Nick, Trey, Ashley, Tyler, Kaleb, Kendall, Christian, Janae, Jada; nephews Don Flanagan (Amy), Tommy Flanagan; nieces, Rebecca Flanagan, Valetta Flanagan; hosts of great grandchildren and other family members.
The family would like to thank the medical staff of Georgetown Memorial Hospital (Tidelands) for their care and dedication to our beloved Jayne.
