Georgetown

Jeanette Burkett, 89, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the home of her daughter. She was born in Pawleys Island, a daughter of the late Mottie Moore Casselman and Lillian (Carraway) Casselman.

She is survived by her daughters, Paula McConnell (Roger) of Georgetown and Debbie Bryant of Georgetown, as well as her four grandchildren: Joey Hewitt (Renée) of Lexington, SC, Kevin McConnell (Casey) of Georgetown, Dale Hewitt (Jessica) of Georgetown, and Ian Cameron of Georgetown. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Bethany Hewitt, Jayden Hewitt, Chloe McConnell, and Cade Hewitt.

She was predeceased by husband Paul Burkett and a daughter Nancy Cameron.

Jeanette was a beloved member of the Georgetown community, known for her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

The Downtown Chapel of Mayer-Ethridge Funeral Home and Crematory, 843-546-4184, is in charge of arrangements.
