Myrtle Beach Jeffrey Myers Baker, 49, widower of Teresa Stevens Baker, died Thursday, June 13, 2013 in Ocala, Fla. Mr. Baker was born in Myrtle Beach on November 16, 1963, a son of Betty Wilson Baker and the late Myers S. Baker. Jeff grew up in the Myrtle Beach Forrest Brook community and graduated from Socastee High School. After marrying the love of his life Teresa, they moved to Ocala, Fla., where he worked for many years for Publix's grocery chain, as a meat cutter. Later, he began working in construction for several different companies in the Ocala area. Mr. Baker was predeceased by: his wife, father, and grandparents, Pressley and Marie Baker, and Elmer and Maggie Wilson. Surviving, in addition to his mother of Myrtle Beach, are: a daughter, Taylor Baker of Ocala, Fla., a step-son, Ryan Ferris of Ocala, Fla. a brother, Kevin Baker (Stasha) of Conway, SC., and a grandson, Zackary Egner of Ocala, Fla. Memorial services will be at eleven o'clock on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Conway. Officiating will be the Rev. Roger Black.
