Jeffrey "Jeff" William Gracie, 59, died at home surrounded by his loved ones on Oct. 15, 2010, following a long illness.
Jeff was born July 31, 1951, in Frostburg, Md. He was the son of Thomas W. and Jean G. (Blough) Gracie. Jeff was a self-employed contractor. He left his legacy in the numerous structures he built in the Garrett County (Md.) area. A 1969 graduate of Beall High School, Jeff was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg, Md.
Surviving are his beloved wife Terrie (Anderson) Gracie; his mother Jean Gracie, Frostburg, Md.; children Heather McGee, Wakefield, Rhode Island, AB Charles H. Anderson, Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., and Jessica Gracie Griffin and husband Corey, Portland, Ore.; one grandson, Benjamin T. Griffin; two sisters Linda J. Merrill and husband Rick, Cumberland, Md., Diane L. Behounek and husband Bruce, Yardley, Pa.; two nieces, Heather Shaw and Chanda Veno; three nephews, Chad Merrill, Matthew Behounek and Christopher Behounek; two great-nephews, Tyler Veno and Chase Veno; two great-nieces, Ellie Veno and Lily Ross; and beloved father- and mother-in-law John and Jeanette Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas W. Gracie.
Jeff was an avid Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoyed golfing. He worked hard and played hard. Jeff was a selfless person who would do anything for anyone and will be sadly missed by many.
At his request, he was cremated. Mayer Funeral Home in Georgetown is handling arrangements.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place at J.G.'s Pub, Route 219 and Mayhew Inn Road, Oakland, Md., on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010, at 6 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
